Hawaiian Style Rentals receives an A rating from the Better Business Bureau. Since the BBB is all about complaints and we don’t have any we qualify for the A rating. So congratulations for a year of complaint free customers.

Century Ride

Tomorrow is Honolulu’s Century Ride. Since it is not a race a lot of normal folks will be participating and taking it at there own pace. The race starts at 6 a.m. and takes you along the eastern Honolulu coast up to the Windward side. The course will be well marked and a full lane will be coned off for the riders. Good luck to all participants. Have fun!

Another Hawaiian Style BBQ

Yesterday was the first friday of the month and Hawaiian Style Rentals had another Hawaiian Style BBQ. This time our sous-chef friend Avin prepared and grilled the carne asada while Martina cooked the traditional Mexican rice. We rationed the food as well as could and came out with thirty plates. I wish we had bought more food, because some people didn’t get to eat:-( Next month we are preparing traditional grilled burgers and french fries! I put up a few photos on HawaiiMoped.com. Mahalo to the Waikiki Beachside Hostel for allowing us to have this BBQ!

There was no cruise this time, because we didn’t have enough bikes. Maybe next month!

2008 SYM DD50

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The 2008 SYM DD50 has landed and like 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004 it looks exactly the same! People may be turned off by the lack of new design for the SYM, but for Hawaii Moped it is a consoling feeling! We know there will always be parts and it allows us to maintain them better, because we are so familar with the model.

A lot of customers have been inquiring about purchasing a SYM and it seems like every one is looking for the best used bike at the lowest rate. The bottom line for the SYM DD50 is $900. Which means that when you buy a scooter from us you can sell it for what you bought it for. This is another reason why we love the same design, because your used moped will always have the same look as the new models. With the weak dollar raising our gas prices there is no better time to check out one of our new or used SYM DD50 mopeds.

The daily pass allows you to do as many activities as you would like at a flat daily rate. With over 40 attractions to choose from the savings really add up. What is great about the power pass is you can do the same activity each day. So if you loved your moped rental you can keep coming back. Included with each pass is either a daily 4 hour moped rental or a 24 hour bicycle rental. If you like you can pay the difference between the 4 hour and 24 hour rental and you can keep renewing it each day.

Thank you to everyone that came to Hawaiian Style Rentals monthly BBQ. Josh prepared forty plate lunches and and there was none to spare. After work a big group of us went on a night cruise up Tantalus. Check out the photos! A special mahalo to the Waikiki Beachside Hostel for allowing us to have this event!
